Hyperconnect Unveils New Face of Azhar, Actress Yun Gai, in Captivating Ad Campaign

SEOUL, South Korea — Hyperconnect, the global video streaming platform company, has announced that actress Yun Gai will be the new face of their popular video chat platform, Azhar. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a series of innovative commercials.

Azhar, renowned for its ability to connect users worldwide through real-time video communication, leverages Hyperconnect’s cutting-edge technology to offer a seamless and high-quality user experience. As of May 2024, Azhar has facilitated over 150 billion matches globally, cementing its position as a leader in the market.

In the newly released commercials, Yun Gai is seen integrating Azhar into her daily life, effortlessly finding new friends online. The ads showcase her giving advice to strangers, performing voice imitations, and engaging in lively conversations with unfamiliar faces. These interactions highlight the ease with which users can forge new connections on Azhar, and Yun Gai’s energetic and approachable persona embodies the spirit of the platform.

The campaign features ten episodic videos, including “Azhar When I’m Bored” and “MZ Generation Honbap.” Each episode portrays different scenarios that can occur while using Azhar, all enriched by Yun Gai’s signature charm. In “When I’m Bored,” she is seen using Azhar to pass time during breaks on set, exclaiming to a new online friend, “It’s fun to talk to my friend on Azhar, so time flies by.”

“MZ Generation Honbap” captures Yun Gai as a new recruit, expressing how Azhar provides a friendly community atmosphere. She shares, “The only good thing is to connect with new friends on Azhar while eating honbap,” emphasizing the platform’s ability to facilitate easy communication with strangers. Azhar’s AI technology further ensures user safety by monitoring conversations and displaying messages that assure users of its protective oversight.

Yun Gai, who debuted in 2018 with the film “Sunhee and Sadie,” has since starred in popular dramas such as “Dr. Cha Jung Sook,” “The House with a Yard,” and “Let’s Catch a Thug.” Recently, she joined the cast of “SNL Korea” for Seasons 4 and 5, gaining attention for her roles in “MZ Office” and as a multifaceted rookie representing the MZ generation.
